Rando Webbers produce webs that are uniform in weight and loft, and have consistent edge quality. We achieve this unsurpassed web quality and strength through true random fiber orientation. Offering three different forming styles, we can meet your specific web formation needs with even the more difficult fiber.
- SB condenser – heavier fibers, 100 denier and above
- SD condenser – finer fibers, nano up to 100 denier
- SHL condenser – the capability of the SD style with added high loft, up to 10” inches in height
The SHL condenser allows you to form webs from 3/4″ inch to 10″ inches high by only changing the speeds on the HMI. The SHL Condenser excels with a wide range of fibers including fiberglass, synthetic fibers, and natural fibers such as hemp, jute, wood, and cotton.
Rando feeder® are designed to create a uniform feed-mat from one or more natural and/or synthetic fibers that are to be introduced to the rando webber®. The machine is an easy-to-maintain fiber feeder featuring aerodynamic fans and hoods to provide uniform airflow. It also features upgraded independent direct drive AC variable speed gear motors on each of the feeder aprons. For ease of operation, our feeder has a PLC based control system, operator touch screen (HMI), and variable frequency drives.
Rando opener/blenders provide a host of benefits and features for opening and blending fibers of various deniers, filaments and microns. Equipped with wired rolls, the ROB receives blended fibers from a Prefeeder, which are then opened, resulting in equally individualized fiber. Usage of our ROB is wide ranging and includes the automotive, military, filtration, aerospace, agricultural, and medical industries. The specific types of practical applications under these headings include those that focus on absorbency, clean air, soundproofing, residential and industrial abrasives, cosmetic/hygiene products, and more.

The transformation from baled fiber to web formation begins with our Rando Bale Breakers/Openers. These machines are designed to handle a capacity load up to 2000 lbs. of bale-form fiber that are broken down into tuft form. Rando’s 2 + 2 Bale Breaker/Opener and integrated Prefeeder are designed to accept natural and/or synthetic fibers from two bales simultaneously, with both vertical and horizontal bale feeding orientation available.
This new machine is designed to allow fiber to be fed vertically and pre-opened with a feedroll, main cylinder and brush roll. Rando rolls are wired vs. the competitors pinned rolls. Wired rolls are more cost effective to manufacture and require less servicing by the customer, keeping your line up and running!
Robustly built, the Rando Vertical Pre-Opener is manufactured in standard widths from 36” to 100”. It is highly recommended for BICO, Natural, Metal and Ceramic fibers. Our engineers are dedicated to finding new ways to open high-cost fiber such as BICO. Ensuring all bundles, tufts and filaments are 99% opened saves on material costs and creates better bonding characteristics.
The vertical design creates a smaller footprint than earlier designed pre-openers that fed horizontally, thus running cleaner with gravity and constant vacuum pressure.
In trials The Rando Vertical Pre-Opener was used successfully with natural fibers for reducing breakage. Rando had great success in running fiberglass in stick form; pre-opening the sticks so downstream equipment can process the fiber with less fiber loss and better opening.
This new machine from Rando can be mounted to other feeding machines or can be pneumatically fed. The fibers are pre-opened and are removed with an air handling system to the next machine in use. It can also be used as a standalone machine.
The Rando Prefeeder and the related Rando Volumetric Reserve are both designed with a large hopper capacity that provides a consistent rate of blended fibers that are then fed to the Rando Opener/Blender.
The functionality of these two machines are nearly identical with a few variations.
- The Prefeeder has an open back, making it convenient for different configurations or for hand feeding.
- The Volumetric Reserve is completely enclosed to facilitate quality blending, and acts as a larger repository for the blended fibers.

Rando Machine’s edge trim slitters are designed specifically to work with our webbers. We engage a large 14 inch alloy blade for trimming, with a standard of 2 heads or higher if our customers require it. For slitting, we employ our blade, anvil, head, and an optional fiber saver which returns fiber back into the system, leading to no waste being produced.
The Rando Shredder Waste Reducer / Refiberizer was designed to refiberize and reclaim excess finished material produced from a nonwoven line. Outfitted with state-of-the-art technology to break down edge trimmings into small, uniform tufts that can then be reintroduced to production and blended to create a finished product.
